
Jefferson County 4-H County Council
The Jefferson County 4-H County Council is open to all youth (11-18 years old) in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. Their focus is on community service, leadership, and social activities.
Roles and Responsibilities of Jefferson County 4-H County Council Members
- Provide leadership and service for expanding the Jefferson County 4-H programming
- Assist with planning 4-H Kick-off
- Assist with 4-H Recognition Programs
- Assist with 4-H Round-up
- Recommend policy and direction for Jefferson County 4-H programs and opportunities
- Serve as a sounding board for Jefferson County 4-H Programs
- Identify and accomplish at least one major County Council goal/project each year
Other responsibilities as determined by the group with their advisors.
2008 County Council Member Project
In the 2008 project year members of the Jefferson County 4-H County Council will be developing their Personal Portfolios. This will be a tool to showcase their 4-H, school, work, and accomplishments.
Members displayed their portfolios at the Jefferson County Fair in July.
